The Ride the Wave life promotion campaign aims to promote mental health and wellbeing among youth to help them weather the storms that life brings. The campaign’s goal is to encourage young people to seek out available resources when they need it, and to reach out to others who may sometimes need their help.
Like waves in the ocean, life has its ups and downs. Learning to ride the waves can help us stay afloat and bring us to shore. And sometimes we need the help of a lighthouse to shine light on the path to safe harbour.
The Ride the Wave logo is the result of a contest won by Louisa Thurler, a student at École secondaire catholique Embrun . She was one of the 109 participants who entered a logo design for consideration. As the first-place winner, Louisa received a $100 Visa gift card, and worked with a graphic designer to develop the current logo for the campaign.
